Affirmative Litigation

The Justice Center’s Affirmative Litigation Unit brings lawsuits which seek to right injustices that impact low-income and other vulnerable populations across the Commonwealth. Such work has included class-action lawsuits against the owners of mobile home parks for violating the rights of their tenants, habeas corpus petitions seeking the release of unlawfully detained immigrants and various lawsuits targeting the unfair practices of businesses including insurance companies, real estate agents and collection agencies.
